Effective Date: November 1, 2026
Note on Language:
These Terms are made in Japanese and English. If there is any difference in interpretation, the Japanese version prevails.
Article 1 (General Provisions)
- These Terms of Service (hereinafter "these Terms") set forth the conditions for the use of the community and Japanese-language learning service "Forple" (hereinafter "the Service") provided by Forple Inc. (hereinafter "the Company").
- The Service is provided through the website (https://www.for-ple.com) and mobile applications (iOS / Android).
- By using the Service, users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
- The official text of these Terms shall be in Japanese. In the event that these Terms are translated into other languages, the Japanese version shall prevail over any translated version in the case of any contradiction or discrepancy.
Article 2 (Definitions)
The following terms used in these Terms shall have the meanings set forth below:
- "User" means an individual who has registered for and holds an account on the Service.
- "Content" means all text, images, videos, audio, and other information that a User posts, transmits, uploads, or shares on the Service. This includes discussion posts, learning recipes, comments, questions, answers, and profile information.
- "Invitation Code" means an authentication code issued by an existing User or the Company, required for new registration.
- "AI Features" means the automatic generation features provided by the Company using external AI services, such as correction of compositions, feedback on speeches, replies to the weekly reflection, and other automatically generated outputs (Article 4).
- "Company Content" means content provided by the Company through the Service, including but not limited to UI designs, logos, icons, and documentation.
- "Paid Plan" means an automatically renewing subscription, per period, that allows the User to use additional learning features of the Service.
- "Full Coaching" means a plan that includes everything in the Paid Plan and adds individual video sessions (approximately once every two weeks).
- "Store" means the App Store of Apple Inc. and Google Play of Google LLC.
Article 3 (Registration)
3.1 Invitation-Based System
New registration for the Service requires a valid Invitation Code. The number and validity period of Invitation Codes shall be determined at the Company's discretion.
3.2 Registration Process
Users create an account by entering an Invitation Code, registering an email address, and completing authentication via a one-time password (OTP). Users must provide truthful, accurate, and complete information at the time of registration and must keep such information up to date at all times.
3.3 Age Restrictions
The Service is intended for individuals aged 18 or older. Individuals under the age of 18 may not register for the Service or purchase the Paid Plan or any other paid plan. By agreeing to these Terms, Users represent and warrant that they are 18 years of age or older.
3.4 Refusal of Registration
The Company may refuse registration in the following cases:
- The registration information contains false, erroneous, or incomplete information.
- The applicant has previously violated these Terms.
- The applicant is found to be under 18 years of age.
- The applicant falls under Article 7 (Exclusion of Anti-Social Forces).
- The Company otherwise determines that registration is inappropriate.
3.5 Account Management
- Users are responsible for strictly managing their account authentication information to prevent unauthorized use.
- The transfer, lending, or sharing of accounts with third parties is prohibited.
- If operations are performed using a User's registered authentication information, the Company shall provide the Service treating such operations as actions of the User.
- The User shall bear all responsibility for any damage resulting from insufficient management, errors in use, or third-party use of authentication information, and the Company shall assume no liability, except where the damage is attributable to the Company.
Article 3-2 (Visa Check)
- The "Visa Check" provided by the Company (hereinafter "the Check") provides general information based on the answers entered by the User, drawing on Japan's immigration control system and other publicly available information.
- The result of the Check does not predict or guarantee whether a residence status will be granted. Decisions on residence status are made by the Immigration Services Agency of Japan on the individual facts of each case.
- The Check is not the provision of legal services or application agency work under the Administrative Scrivener Act or any other law. The Company does not act as an agent in any individual application procedure, does not prepare documents on the User's behalf, and does not refer or introduce any particular professional.
- The rules the Check refers to may change. The Company endeavors to base the Check on information verified at the time of display and to indicate that content whose enforcement is not yet confirmed is "planned (draft stage)", but does not warrant that the content is accurate or current. In taking any actual procedure, Users must always check the information published by the Immigration Services Agency and other public authorities.
- Users are responsible for the consequences of any decision or action taken in reliance on the result of the Check alone.
- The Check can be used without account registration. If a User registers an account after using the Check, or posts a question from the result of the Check, the Company links the answers to that Check with that account and stores them. Details of the handling are set out in the Privacy Policy.
- The Company uses the answers to the Check as statistics, after processing them so that individuals cannot be identified.
Article 4 (Use of AI Features)
4.1 Scope of AI Features
The Company uses an external AI service ("Claude" by Anthropic, PBC) for the following purposes:
- Correction of compositions
- Feedback on speeches
- Creation of replies from the character "Umamiy-kun" to the weekly reflection
- Creation of drafts of the replies under the preceding item that require review by a coach
4.2 Results of AI Features
The results of AI Features are generated automatically and may contain errors. The same applies to grammar, vocabulary, and the usage of Japanese. The results of AI Features are for learning reference only and are not professional advice regarding passing exams, test scores, residence status, employment, law, money, or health. Before making any important decision, please consult a teacher, coach, or professional.
4.3 Indication that a Reply Is from AI
Replies created by AI Features carry the sender labels "Umamiy-kun" and "AI". AI Features do not pretend to be a human.
4.4 Confirmation by Coaches
When a User writes a question to a teacher or coach in the weekly reflection, or when the Company determines that confirmation is necessary, a coach reads the draft created by AI and, where necessary, corrects it before it is sent. In this case, the sender is shown as the name of the coach who confirmed it together with the label "Coach". Confirmation may take time, and the Company does not guarantee when a reply will be sent. Other replies are sent without confirmation by a coach.
4.5 Transmission to External Parties
Users consent that text entered into AI Features, transcriptions of speeches, the content of reflections, and the learning records used to create replies will be transmitted, for AI processing, to the servers of an external AI service (Anthropic, PBC, located mainly in the United States). The Company does not transmit email addresses or display names. The handling of data is set out in Article 3 of the Privacy Policy.
4.6 Request Regarding What You Enter
What you enter in free-writing fields, such as compositions and reflections, is sent as it is for AI processing (Anthropic, PBC, United States). Please do not write information that is not necessary for learning, such as your name, address, or telephone number. You do not have to write anything you do not wish to write, such as your health or personal circumstances.
4.7 Liability
The Company shall not be liable for damage arising from the use of the results of AI Features, except to the extent provided in Article 10.
Article 4-2 (Paid Plan and Subscription)
- The Paid Plan is an automatically renewing subscription with a choice of periods of 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. Its contents are displayed on the purchase screen. The Company may change the contents and terms of provision after giving prior notice. A change unfavorable to Users applies from the first renewal after the change and does not apply to Users who have cancelled by then.
- The Paid Plan can be purchased only through in-app purchase on the Stores. The Company does not sell it on its website. It is sold only in the countries designated by the Company on the Stores (Indonesia and Japan).
- The price is the amount displayed by the Store on the purchase screen (the display of currency and tax follows the Store's display). The amount may differ by country.
- The payment is charged to the User's Apple ID or Google account when the purchase is confirmed.
- Unless cancelled before the renewal date (on the App Store, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period), the subscription is automatically renewed for the same period and the renewal fee is charged.
- How to cancel: You can cancel at any time from the subscription settings of the Store on your device (it can be opened from "Manage subscription" in the app). Deleting the app or deleting your account does not automatically cancel the Store subscription.
- If you cancel, you can use the Paid Plan until the end of the current period. There is no pro-rated refund.
- Refunds follow the rules of the Stores. For purchases on the App Store, Apple decides on refunds. The Company does not give refunds, except where required by law or in the case set out in Article 9.3 (Termination).
- A change of the plan period (for example, from 1 month to 3 months) takes effect from the next renewal. Until then, the current plan continues.
- If a payment fails or the period ends, you immediately return to the scope of the free features, without any grace period. Records created while using the Paid Plan (corrections, feedback, test scores, coach comments, etc.) are not deleted and can still be viewed.
- While the Company provides features equivalent to the Paid Plan to a student of a school that has a partnership with the Company, the student is not charged. When use through the school ends, the student returns to the free scope.
- No free trial period is offered.
Article 4-3 (Full Coaching)
- Full Coaching is an automatically renewing subscription, renewed every 1 month, that includes everything in the Paid Plan and adds video sessions. Users who have the Paid Plan can move to Full Coaching by changing their plan on the Store (the timing of the change and the adjustment of fees follow the Store's rules). Paragraphs 2 to 10 of the preceding Article apply mutatis mutandis to the purchase, renewal, and cancellation of Full Coaching.
- The content is a video session of approximately 30 minutes. The guideline is once every two weeks, and up to 2 sessions per contract period of 1 month. The actual number and dates of sessions are decided in consultation with the coach according to the User's learning situation, and the Company does not promise that 2 sessions will be held. The tool used for sessions (Google Meet, etc.) and the schedule are arranged by the Company, and the Company will contact the User individually after purchase.
- The number of Users who can be served is limited. When capacity is full, the app does not allow purchases. Even if purchases exceed the limit, for example when purchases are made at the same time around the time capacity is reached, the Company will provide Full Coaching.
- The person in charge is a member of the Company or a coach designated by the Company, and is selected by the Company. When the person in charge is changed, the Company will give notice in advance.
- The schedule of sessions and the handling of absences are as follows:
- A change of schedule is limited to one per contract period of 1 month. Please contact us by 17:00 (Western Indonesia Time) on the day before the session. Changes after that will in principle not be accepted, but please consult us if there are unavoidable circumstances such as sudden illness.
- If the User does not join the session within 10 minutes after the start time without any contact, that session is treated as having been held.
- If a session is cancelled for the convenience of the Company or the person in charge, it will be rescheduled to another day. If it cannot be rescheduled within that contract period, one additional session will be added in the next contract period.
- There is no system for suspending membership. If you wish to take a break, cancel the subscription on the Store.
- Even if a session is not held under the preceding items, the fee will not be refunded (except as provided by the Store's refund rules).
- Recording and transcription of sessions: In order to improve the quality of the Service and the coaching, the Company may record sessions and transcribe them using AI (using the functions of Google Meet of Google LLC). At the start of each session, the assigned coach starts the recording and asks the User whether the session may be recorded, and the recording continues only if the User agrees. That recording, including the User's agreement, is the record of consent. If the User declines, the Company stops the recording immediately and deletes it. Declining does not change the content of Full Coaching, and the User may decline at any session. Recordings and transcriptions are deleted one year after the coaching ends (Article 3-2 of the Privacy Policy).
- The person in charge shall not use information about the User learned in sessions for any purpose other than coaching and shall not disclose it to any third party.
- Full Coaching does not provide individual advice on residence status, law, employment, or money.
Article 5 (User Content)
5.1 Ownership of Intellectual Property Rights
The copyright in Content posted by a User belongs to the User.
5.2 Grant of License
Users grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable right to use, reproduce, translate, adapt, publicly transmit, display, and distribute such Content to the extent necessary for the provision, operation, improvement, and promotion of the Service. 5.6 Removal and Hiding of Content
The Company may remove or hide, without prior notice, Content that violates these Terms or that the Company deems inappropriate. The Company has no obligation to monitor Content, but reserves the right to access, view, store, and disclose Content as necessary to respond to requests under laws and regulations, to confirm compliance with these Terms, to ensure security, and for similar purposes.
5.7 Restriction on Contact Information
Including contact information such as email addresses, telephone numbers, and URLs in questions and answers is prohibited.
5.8 Backup
The Company has no obligation to back up data or Content that Users store on servers managed by the Company, and Users shall make their own backups.

- Registering or posting false information
- Harassment, defamation, discriminatory remarks, or threats toward other Users
- Posting excessively violent expressions, explicit sexual expressions, expressions relating to child abuse, or expressions that promote discrimination based on race, nationality, creed, gender, social status, etc.

- The handling of information accompanying the delivery of advertisements is as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Article 9 (Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Service)
